San Marcos HS Senior Marcella Smith was our 1st place winner of the Knight Essay Contest. Marcella will be attending the University of Houston this fall.

Our Elementary Poster Contest placed three winners, all from Voss Farms Elementary in New Braunfels. In the first row, from L to R, we have 3rd place winner Amie Patlan, 2nd place winner Sydnee Trulicia, and 1st place winner, Macey Jo Parrish. Macey's poster is shown below.

Congratulations to Andrea Torres (L), Brianne Neuse (middle), and Ava Garcia (R) for placing 2nd, 1st, and 3rd, respectively, in our Elementary Brochure contest. Brianne's poster was sent to the State Convention where she will compete with students from across the state. All three young ladies are students at Voss Farms Elementary in New Braunfels. Congratulations to Steele sophomore Nick Hargett for winning the chapter level Knight Essay contest. Nick will be competing at the state convention next month. We would also like to congratulate Becky Williams, the Steele HS AP History Teacher. Ms. Williams was selected as our chapter American History Teacher of the year and she was selected by the state society as the High School History Teacher of the year for the State of Texas. President Tom Jones (L) and  Oration and Essay Chair Joe Cox (R) present awards and medals. Malya Breen was the Oration winner and James Kemter was the Essay winner. Both students are seniors at Steele HS in Cibolo. Malya advanced to the State competition where she placed 3rd.
